Conversational Spanish

Introduction

This “Conversational Spanish” class is a crash course on how to approach foreign language learning. Unlike other college courses, there will not be extensive grammatical lectures. This class will concentrate on oral practice. The students will be required to practice conversation out of the classroom. Do not expect to become bilingual by this course. This class will begin on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 and will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm in Wehner Room TBA, located in the Mays Business School on west campus of Texas A&M University.  This blog will be providing students with weekly handouts and assignments, which will be discussed and used in in class. Please make sure to print and look over assignments prior to class lectures.

Handouts:

The following handouts can be accessed by clicking in the respective link. Handouts are saved in PDF format.  Handouts will include the option to type in answers for users of Adobe Acrobat.  Please print out and complete assignments that need to be turned in to your professor. Note that there are several ways to complete assignments:

  • Print out the handout once it pulls up, and fill in the empty spaces by hand, using a pen or pencil
  • Fill in the blanks using your computer keyboard- Adobe Acrobat users only- and print

If e-mailing the assignments is permissible:

  • If you have the software, Adobe Acrobat Professional, you can OPEN the PDF, SAVE the file to your computer, TYPE in your answers, and RE-SAVE the file, then EMAIL it to the professor.
  • If you do not have that software, you will need to OPEN the PDF, complete the assignment, PRINTOUT the assignment, then SCAN in the printout as a PDF, and then EMAIL.
